  • Message from the University Head of Security re Bicycle Thefts

    I am pleased to be able to report that yesterday (2nd September), together with the police, there was a Operation targetting cycle theft in the Town Centre, the RSCH and the University.

    This resulted in the arrest of a man suspected of being involved in cycle thefts on the campus.  No doubt he is not the only one, however it is an excellent start to our initiatives and will send a message to those intent on stealing cycles on the campus. 

    I would also like to thank the many of you who have been calling the Control Room with information of suspicious people.  With your help we have been able to respond quickly and have been able to disturb thieves before they were able to take cycles.

    May I please ask you to keep the information coming!
