Companies will be informed if they have been shortlisted in December and the judging visits will take place throughout January next year.
Gold-i Ltd, based in the Surrey Technology Centre on the Research Park, was awarded the prize for Young Business of the Year 2010, and managing director Tom Higgins said he was delighted for his team.
“I was absolutely over the moon,” he said. “When you are starting your own company, to then get this sort of validation is brilliant."
“I shall be applying next year for whatever category we are eligible for, hopefully that will be businesses with a turnover of up to £20m."
Tom Higgins with Dr Malcolm Parry, Director, Surrey Research Park.
